The Anchorage Senior Activities Center enhances the quality of life for people 55+ years old in the Anchorage area by providing a gathering place, with opportunities for recreation, education, socializing, and exploration. The Senior Center is a scent-free facility for all, including staff, members, volunteers, and visitors. Please wear only unscented personal products within the Center building.

Compassion & ChoicesWednesday, February 8, 20121:30 PM The Alaska Chapter of Compassion and Choices will hold a free public meeting at the ASAC. The meeting will focus on the efforts to make Hawaii the fourth state to legalize physician-assisted death. Proponents and opponents are locked in over a 102-year-old provision of state law that seems to allow it. Highlights of 21 days of testimony in B.C. Supreme Court (now awaiting judgment) on the constitutionality of Canada's Law will also be considered. Meeting attendees may also view the C&C DVD film 'Nudging the Law'.
