Quilting Room

IMG_9764 quilt small (165K)

Sales of the quilts help support the Center's activities. The majority of the quilts sold at the Center are made at the Center in our quilting room. The quilting volunteers design, piece, and sew the quilts. The quilts are then machine quilted using our Gammill machine. Home quilt makers donate some quilts and some are pieced by the makers and then quilted at the Center.

The available quilts range from table runners, wall hangings, baby crib size to full and sometime king size bed quilts. The slide show below depicts our current inventory of quilts, although all available quilts are always on display at the Center. If you don't see what you need in a quilt our quilt room volunteers will help you to design a custom quilt that they will then piece and quilt to match your design. Contact the Center for details on this service.

Did you know that the quilters also accept orders for machine quilting of your old or new quilt tops? The versatile quilting machine in the quiltroom makes it possible for us to offer this service. The price rate varies from $20 to $35 per square yard, depending on intricacy and color changes. Work order forms are available at the gift shop.
