Welcome to the Anchorage Senior Activity Center's Fitness Department, where health, wellness, and community converge to enrich the lives of our members daily.

At the ASAC Fitness Department, we embody our mission statement by providing an all-inclusive space dedicated to fostering well-being for seniors in our community. Our extensive array of offerings caters to individuals of all fitness levels and interests, ensuring that everyone can find their perfect fit for achieving their health and wellness goals.

Fitness Membership

This dynamic atmosphere offers opportunities for growth and enrichment. From invigorating group fitness classes to a variety of cardio and weight machines, we offer a diverse array of activities designed to engage both body and mind. Whether you're a seasoned fitness enthusiast or embarking on your wellness journey for the first time, our dedicated team is here to support and empower you.

Equipment

ASAC boasts top-of-the-line equipment, including commercial-grade free weights, diverse gym equipment, and dedicated resources for rehabilitation. Whether you're sculpting and toning muscles, recovering from injury, or maintaining an active lifestyle, our facilities cater to your needs. Additionally, certain equipment is wheelchair accessible, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility for all members.


Fitness Classes

Our group classes cater to all levels, with instructors tailoring sessions to your needs. Choose your pace – modified, intermediate, or advanced – and strengthen your body with guidance from our fitness professionals. With over 35 weekly classes, including Tai Chi, Chair Classes, and Zumba Gold, there's something for everyone. Plus, many classes are available via Zoom for added convenience!

Trainers & Instructors

Upon joining, take advantage of our complimentary consultations in the Fitness Weight Room, where our experienced team will collaborate with you to develop a personalized fitness program tailored to your body, goals, and preferences. With certifications in: personal training, CPR & safety, older adult fitness, and specialty classes, our instructors are dedicated to guiding and supporting you on your fitness journey.
